place barrier rail off the deck

Question

I would like to place barrier rail off the deck and on a wingwall. The program wants me to put the rail on the deck. I cannot horizontally offset the rail off the deck either. Best I can do is have the rail at the edge of the deck (Approach Slab) but that is wrong. I also tried extending the rail on the bridge deck but to no avail. How can I place the rail on the wingwall? I am using version OpenBridge Modeler CE 2021 Release 1 10.10.0.85. Thanks for the help.

The only option available currently in OBM is to specify a "Start Station Offset" or "End Station Offset" to extend the barrier beyond the deck. Not sure if that would work for your case.

After placing the barrier on the deck (Approach Slab), you can use a negative Horizontal Offset to adjust the location of the barrier relative to the path it is following. In this case, I have offset it -1.000', which allows it to line up with the barrier on the bridge deck. To get the barrier to end at the correct length, you can also modify the start/end station offset. (OBM 2021 Release 2 10.10.20.91)
