Hi,
I modelled a deck and used an alignment for point control, I was able to do it but I noticed that OBM is programmed to model a deck using bspline curves so even if you don't have a curve in your alignment, it will still model a deck with a curve which is not ideal especially on the design of the bridge that I'm working on.
Right now the solution is to go on plan view and then cut the deck using the 3D modelling tools from microstation, but in the future i think the best practice is to have an option to model the deck using Polylines or Bspline curves so that we can turn off the curve on the deck if we want to.Regards,
Cris
Hi Steve, i go down to 0.01 and 0.1 and no real effect. I have noted that even lower values look to make accuracy worse.

I would suggest this issue is logged as defect, we cannot loose a control over the geometry modeling. It is frustrating problem.
Hi, for now, with the actual OBM program capabilities, the solution is to create one alignment for each straight line and one bridge for each stretch. In this way, the program will generate the correct bridge deck volumes.
