Hello,
I am modeling a skewed concrete slab bridge with 4 spans.
I was able to model the deck, the 3 piers and only one of the two abutments. When I try to model the second abutment, I get an error message "Attempt to determine its elevation failed".
What coul be the problem ? I checked several times the géometry file but I could not find the error.
Thanks.
Hi Kamel, If alignment and profile are correctly defined, try to extend the support lines for getting intersections at the extreme points. Many times due to the skew, the support lines need to be extended. You can also send us the file for further investigations too.

Hi Ana Carla,
I extended the support line but I still get the same error message (failed to detremine its elevation).
Also, I can not get symmetrical bearings with respect to pier axes.
Please find attached the DGN files.

Hi,
To solve the problem of modeling the abutment (failure de determine its elevation), I switched to the version 2022 release 1 of the open bridge designer (Ver. 10.11.00.40).
