Hi,
I have question regarding calculation of minimum reinforcement in RM Bridge.
In schedule action I put robust check and note that the detail list file to be provided. The thing that confuses me after opening the detailed list file is formula which RM uses for calculating minimum reinforcement
MAXQy (361 END) sig1 (-1.1) -4381.522037 sigcd: -5854.123863 sig2 (0.0) -6766.381630 sig1p (-1.1) -2028.184897 sigcdp: -5898.963325 sig2p (0.0) -8296.860447 Nx -14771.591105 My 364.061097 Mz 558.192255 sig(sec)(1) -2353.33713928 sig(sec)(2) 1530.47881779 Check Direction Y / tension side 2 Area of tension zone (h=0.4208, beq=3.5129) 1.478146 Area of Reinf_Bot_2 in tension zone (factor: 0) 0.000000 Area of Reinf_Top_2 in tension zone (factor: 1) 0.000000 Area of reinf. in tension zone 0.000000 Amin: 0.2669 / (0.4208 * 0.9450) * 2500.0 / 500000 0.003356
In eurocode this formula goes differently (EN1992-1-1, 9.2):
So, the main question is why in RM output list file the formula for minimum reinf is slightley different than in eurocode for beams (0.26 should bi multiple with concrete area and not divided) ?
Kindest regards
Ivana
Hi Ivana, could you please send *.tcl files to anacarla.peres@bentley.com for further investigations?
Thank you in advance. Best Regards,

Hi Ivana, I sent you the answer throughout the SR 7001506504, Minimum reinforcement in "RobuSup".
The formulation used by the software is the one written in RM Bridge Robustness Check document that I attached too.
Any other question RM Bridge related, please don't hesitate in contacting us again. Best Regards.
