I'm creating a 15 span prestressed girder bridge in OpenBridge Modeler. I need to add a neoprene strip seal joint every 3 spans or so. Can I modify the continuous deck object to add these components? Alternatively, splitting the deck object into multiple deck object could suffice. I would prefer to not rebuild the entire model to add this detail. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Adam
Assuming this is a multi-unit structure, you could model each unit as part of a single bridge. The deck has longitudinal offsets that allow you to stop and start it precisely where you like. Today there is not a tool for modeling a neoprene strip seal joint or any joint for that matter. You would need to model it using solids modeling tools or create a cell and place it with the Place Point tool.

Thanks Steve! At this point, the structure is modeled as a single unit. I would like to break it up into multiple units. Is it possible to modify the model in that way?
I agree with modeling the strip seal with solids. At this point I'm focused on getting the deck to have breaks in it where the joints will go.
You would need to start over. Since you have all the templates, it would probably go rather quickly.
