Hi, Dear All,
Please see the following picture.
Questions:
1. Is it possible for us to look into the footing design calculation details in LEAP bridge substructure?
2. The required bar area is constant through the footing for both X & Z directions. Even at the edge of the footing?
3. How the required bar area is calculated for the crush wall?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Dong
I shall try to answer one question at a time .
1) Once the design of the footing is done, click on the PRINT button .
2) Check the Footing Design results option and then click on the "Detailed Design Reports".
3) Then generate the detailed report of the footing design at every POI.
For more information related to Leap Bridge Concrete / RCpier program please check the wiki articles in the below mentioned Bentley Communities link.

2) Please check the Tutorial 2 hand calculation which shows step by step procedure on how the flexure design is done in the program.
In all the Reinforcement is not constant throughout the length of the footing, even at the edge of the footing.
Please check the Footing "Detailed Design Reports" which will show how the program is calculating the Reinforcement at every POI with the equations and article numbers.

3)
Crash wall Footing option can be checked in ABC wizard where in the user can input the Crash wall Width , Depth .
After Running the Analysis the user can design the Crash Wall in the Column TAB and Footing TAB.
1) The Vertical Reinforcement design is based on Column Model.
2) Horizontal Reinforcement Design is based on Inverted Tee Beam Model.
