Auto Load Generation: LL & BR in LEAP Bridge Concrete Substructure

Hi, Dear All,

Please advise that how the "number of lanes loaded" is determined? In the "superstructure parameters", I entered 7 as "number of lanes". But here only up to 6 I can select.

Thanks,

  • “For a wide bridge (4 or more lanes), the number of live load positions can be very large.
To limit the amount of execution time required by analysis, the maximum number of loaded lanes allowed is 6.

Max 6 trucks side by side will be moved across the bridge The load effect of 7th truck on the 1st bearing /Girder is
not significant so most of the critical cases are controlled when truck is directly above that girder and the number
of lanes under super structure parameter option are used differently basically for multiple presence factors calculation
and yes this is a limitation in RCpier and in future versions the user should be able to generate LL for all the lanes loaded.
