Help workspace experts
I have just installed OBM CE 2022 Release 1 and I am now trying to create a new WorkSpace = Client 1 and a new WorkSet = Project 1 (there will be more clients/standards)
When I create a new file in Client 1/Project 1 and then open the beam library, it's empty.
If I create a new file in the Metric workspace and do the same thing, the Standard Beam Sections are there.
Now my question is how do I use my Client workspace and piggyback off the metric workspace?
I've done this or something similar a few years ago but I cannot for the life of me remember how!
Regards
Craig
Craig:
When you create a new workspace, the new workspace’s CFG file only contains a few basic workspace and workset related variables. Whereas, the imperial workspace CFG file, tells the application how to find the organization civil folder and all related ORD and OBM content. The attached files will be in this folder by default: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBridge Modeler CE 10.11\Configuration\WorkSpaces
Imperial Standards.cfg
Steve's Imperial Workspace.cfg
Thanks Steve, I thought this might be the case, I seem to remember in OBD that you select the metric/imperial.cfg as a template.
I can't see your cfg as my company is blocking the download
Is it as simple as copying Imperial Standards.cfg and renaming as my custom workspace?
Yes, copy the contents of the Imperial Standards.cfg to your .cfg file.
