I am analyzing a pier supporting 2 simple spans that are 45 degree skewed. 1. I am confused what offset needs to be entered in superstructure definition? 2. How is this offset playing a role in LL generation? I noticed that changing offset is changing the autogenerated LL on bearings. My superstructure has offset in plan view and also in transverse section view.
Deck Offset Definition : If the pier or abutment is skewed then the offset is defined as perpendicular from the centerline of deck to the centerline of pier.
