I am trying to model a curved steel bridge with hinges in 3D, but when ran in 3D the model seems to ignore the hinges. When ran as a grillage model it seems to handle the hinges fine. Are hinges not compatible with 3D FEM analysis?
I agree with your findings. I tested the Tutorial 1 example and i found that Grillage analysis handling the hinges correctly.
And for FEM analysis the program is not considering hinges.
