Hi,
We have a requirement for our Piles to be modeled to a specific Elevation or depth from Surface. Is the only way to currently do this for Abutment Piles to use the Microstation Solid editing tools?
I know you can do this for Pier elements, but would like to do the same for Piles as well.
Regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
As you know the elevation to which the piles need to be modeled or the depth from surface, you can open the Pile Pattern Layout and activate Manual under Pile Positions and set the lengths of each pile.

Hi Dilip,
So i will manually need to calculate the length of the pile based on its top elevation? Is there no way to automate it to "target" a specific elevation or depth under a Terrain?

New functionality will be introduced in the next release of OBM to support the definition of Elevation Constraints for Piles. This will allow the user to define absolute elevation for the bottom of the piles, without having to compute and input each pile length manually.
