I modeled a 4-span bridge as a single unit but now I need to update the model to add a unit so that each unit is 2 spans. Is there a way this can be done without revising the entire model?
One cannot split the existing unit in two units. You will need to delete two spans and add the second unit and model the two new spans.

Thank you for the answer. The deck and beam layout are defined from abutment to abutment so essentially the entire model needs to be redone. This is rather unfortunate since the number of units often change as a project progresses.
Consider making it easier to update units within a bridge without having to remove elements.
