Is there a way to copy a bridge model from one file to another, not by reference but the actual model? The two OBM Files will have the same alignment. This would allow copying the bridge models from many files into one file. Thanks.
The recommendation is to go with a federated approach...meaning have each bridge in its own DGN file, then create an empty 3D DGN, and reference all bridges to this file. If any other discipline needs to see the structures, they can reference 1 file with Live Nesting enabled and see all bridges at once.
Thank you for the reply, Steve. Yes, in general I am following this approach and using references to show multiple structures in a single container file. If there is a situation where we have a dgn file with all of the references/clips/level properties setup and we want to bring a bridge model in, is the only option to recreate the references and settings in the file that contains the bridge model? I understand we can show the bridge model as a reference but in some instances I prefer to have the bridge as a live model within the file.
