I am new to all Bentley programs. I have been scouring the internet and I cannot find the answer to this question.
When completing your loading in CONSPAN is the self-weight of the beams already considered or does the designer have to input the weight per linear foot?
Also, does CONSPAN/ Open Bridge have the ability to produce a Free Body Diagram of the loading considered?
Any input will be a massive help.
Hi will,
I shall try to answer one question at a time.
1) The program automatically calculates the self-weight of the beams. Once the user runs the analysis, in the analysis TAB user should be able to
see the Moment and Shear values of the Beam.
2) If you are looking for Moment and Shear diagram then user has to click on the Diagram button on the tool bar .

Thank you for the response!
I see that that the analysis produces the shear and moment diagrams, but does the program have the capability of producing a Free Body Diagram of the applied loads to the model/ cross section? I always find it reassuring to see how the program is applying the loads for some peace of mind; especially when considering location specific loads such as the pedestrian LL.
Currently in Conspan we do not have capability to show Free Body Diagram of the applied loads to the model/ cross section.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
