I have a doubt that I have already ask to the technical assistants, but I paste it here so it may help others too.

I received (quite fast, by the way) an answer about my doubts. I paste it here in case it helps anyone.

Regards

Rafa

************************

Hi Rafael,

Regarding your doubt about Cable Sagging:

Please notice that schedule action ‘UpdEmod’ refers to time dependent variation of Elastic Modulus (of concrete) and should not be used for linearized consideration of cable sagging.

Action ‘CabSag’ might be a proper approach for consideration of stiffness change in cables due to cable sagging in linear analysis. It works as you expect below (E-Modulus will be modified according user input and effects only loads applied in this state).

In case that you need a more accurate consideration of this effect we recommend to perform a non-linear analysis in which cable sagging is considered by ‘large displacement’ analysis of cable elements. See also: 13.1.4.2 ‘Considering the non-linear cable geometry (Stay Cable nonlinear)’

Best regards,
