I am modeling a steel floor beam in LARS using LFD and I am recieving this error message: AASHTO 10.34.4.4 M/V interaction fb calculated exceeds calculated bending stress. Allowable Stress analysis only. (I)
Obviously it is referring to AASHTO but what does the "Allowable Stress only" part mean? Does it only analyze ASD or is ASD not analyzed but LFD is?
LARS will will automatically load rate all models using ASD/LFD/LRFD, but customizes report parameters to match the selected Analysis Option. The"ASD Only" message means that the preceding message applied only to the ASD portion of the analysis. You can easily verify the selected Analysis Option by looking at the top of each report page.
