QUESTION:  What is Super-element that is mentioned in the user manual and how does it work?

ANSWER:

The Super-element is a two-node element created when analyzing the skew in the bridge. The connection is modeled using a zero-length, two-node "super-element" that contains two support-bearing elements spaced transversely along the skew axis of the support. In this way, the superstructure "feels" the presence of the skewed support .It allows for torsional stiffness to be modeled at the abutment/piers.
