RM Bridge is now an integral part of OpenBridge Designer CONNECT Edition as Bentley’s solution for supporting the design and engineering tasks in bridge construction for all types of bridges and construction methods in 4D (including time domain) and all kinds of linear and non-linear analysis. Moreover, RM Bridge is very comprehensive and allows for analysis, designing, construction planning, erection control, and verification of complex variable geometries, composite structures, and mixed materials, like steel and concrete.
Cable Stay Bridges and Balanced Cantilever Bridges are some of the most common use of RM Bridge because of the need for accurate creep and shrinkage modeling during the construction analysis of these structures with increased control of deflections and stresses. Tough, it's commonly used also for any type of prestressed concrete and steel composite girders. It is used by bridge specialists, designers, and contractors, that want to create more original solutions and need to deepen their analysis to a higher level.
The basic analysis procedure following the well-known deformation method has been widely extended as a consequence of the wide experience gained initially at in-house project design work and later with our very advanced user support. Bentley Systems is proud to present this product to the bridge engineering community as part of OpenBridge Designer and will do its best to ensure that the high customer expectations are met.
It is the direct successor version of the software suite RM (RM2000, RM2004, RM2006 - referring to the years where major releases have been issued by TDV), created during the last 40 years and since 2007 developed by Bentley Systems.
