    QUESTION: How to remove a portion of slab from the cross section of slab bridge?

    ANSWER:

    This is just an example to show how remove portions of slab from the cross section of slab bridge.

    Two Triangle shaped parts will be removed from the bottom edges of the slab.

    Go to Geometry TAB and then click on Cross Section button. In the New Cross section Layout window click on SECTION option under Section Definition heading.

    In the new Multi-cell CIP Box Section  window click on PARTS button.

    In the new Multi-cell CIP Box Parts window please select TRIANGLE under TYPE and HOLE option under STATUS heading.

    Then finally input these below mentioned values to remove a 1.25 ft deep and a 3ft wide triangle from the bottom edges of the slab bridge cross section.

    TRIANGLE -1

    Type = Triangle

    Sub-Type = Bottom/Right

    Status = Hole

    Ref-Z(ft)  = 25.5

    Ref-Y(ft)  = 2.5

    H(ft)         = 3

    V(ft)         = 1.25

    TRIANGLE -2

    Type = Triangle

    Sub-Type = Bottom/Left

    Status = Hole

    Ref-Z(ft)  = -25.5

    Ref-Y(ft)  = 2.5

    H(ft)         = 3

    V(ft)         = 1.25
