With the latest release of OpenBridge Modeler (Update 7) the users can leverage the Dynamic Managed WorkSpaces in ProjectWise.
For deploying an OpenBridge Modeler Dynamic Managed WorkSpaces in ProjectWise please follow the instructions from this article. The same WorkSpace can be used for OpenBridge Modeler from OpenBridge Designer as well.
UPDATE
Starting with OpenBridge Modeler 2019 release 3 (Update 8), Proconcrete capabilities have been added to the product. In order to properly use the new configuration in a managed PW environment, the user must follow these steps:
1. A new managed configuration folder must be created on PW that contains the Proconcrete files. The user can also modify his original managed configuration by adding Proconcrete files from the default Configuration folder shipped with the product. Take notice that some .cfg file have been modified, so care should be taken when merging the original managed configuration folder with the new data.
2. Create a new ‘WorkSpace’ level CSB called “REBAR_PROJECT” and add it to the managed configuration. For example, for a default Metric WorkSpace, one should follow the below example.
Name
REBAR_PROJECT
Description
Define Rebar Project Directory for Metric Workspace
Add Value
Operation Type: '='- Assignment
Value Type: ProjectWise Folder
Value: Change value to point to ProjectWise WorkSpace, browse to pw:\\<server name>:<datasource name>\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Metric\Prostructures\Rebar\Detailing\Metric\
Locked
YES
NOTE
Setting REBAR_PROJECT limits the user to that one rebar project. The hidden Rebar commands cannot be used to switch to a different project. If the REBAR_PROJECT is set to point to the Rebar directory in Metric workspace then you may get varying results for other workspaces. Hence user needs to set the rebar RABAR_PROJECT config variable pointing to the correct workspace directory for each workspace.
