Add Bridge - Bridge Types

In OpenBridge Modeler CONNECT Edition when user hit the Add Bridge tool button he will be selecting also one Bridge Type in the drop-down list, as shown in the screenshot below. All further definitions will be relate to this very important selection when adding a new bridge to the OpenBridge Modeler design. Depending on the Bridge Type selected all other commands will change, leading to a much faster project definition. The program settings will gray-out/shield or show-up additional options accordingly. Therefore, it is important to clarify:

• Beam Slab (P/S or RC Concrete Girders) are the typical Concrete Deck bridges with either Pre-Stressed or Reinforced Concrete Girders;
• Beam Slab (Steel Girders) are the usual Concrete Deck bridges with and Steel Girders;
• RC Slab are the simple deck-only structures, also known as slab bridges;
• CIP Concrete Box are Cast-In-Place Concrete Box Girders with the Deck as part of the beams;
• Segmental are Box Girder Bridges constructed by special methods like Balance Cantilever or Advanced Shoring.
