How to specify Auto Dimension Levels for Drawings > Dynamic View Settings?

There are two ways to change the default levels in Drawings > Dynamic View Settings:

    1. Edit the Level Name in the Settings dialog or
    2. Change the Level Names in the XML file.

    Method 1:

    • Navigate to Analysis and Reporting tab and click on Settings to open the Dynamic View Settings dialog:
    • Under Auto Dimensions expand Levels
    • You can type the new Level Name desired for each object and click on OK

    Method 2:

    • This action will create "DynamicViewSettings.xml" in "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBridge Modeler CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Imperial(Metric)\Standards\Standards\Data folder.
    • Navigate to "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBridge Modeler CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Imperial(Metric)\Standards\Standards\Data folder (depending on Imperial or Metric standard)
    • Edit open the file "DynamicViewSettings.xml" in a text Editor . NOTE - If the file is not found then open OBM, navigate to Dynamic View Settings dialog, open it and then save. This action will create the file in the path above.
    • Find and replace the LevelName for all instances of the Object you want to change the Level and save the file
