QUESTION:  Post Tensioned Box Girder: Why the Initial and Final Dead Load Deflection values are not matching?

ANSWER:

While analyzing Post tensioned Box girder is found that the Final Dead Load deflection values are higher than the Initial Dead Load deflection.

The reason the program is showing higher deflection value in the Final case is because of the inclusion of Creep in the concrete over a period of time.

When the Creep co-efficient value is inputted as 0.00 in the concrete material Dialog Box, it is found that the Initial and Final deflection values to be same.
