RM Bridge: Web & Flanges - Shear reinforcement

The definition of the Web and Flange sections inside one Cross-section are done thru the Reference Set.

For a Web definition the type Shear reinforcement for web shown the web direction (or median line) to be considered, so only one line (constituted by two consecutive points) per web is needed. It is also necessary to inform the program where are the limits for this check and for this the Shear longitudinal reinforcement type is used. Two lines should be used for creating an upper and a lower bound for the shear investigation.

    SRW  SLR

Similar definitions should be done in the extremes for the Flanges, and Shear can also be studied in the other direction with additional definitions for Qy. For Torsion a Perimeter of type Torsion reinforcement is needed. More information about Shear Capacity Check and the geometrical requirements can be found at the RM Bridge User Analysis Guide in section 15.5.
