    Getting Started

    The first option in the RM Bridge Enterprise Training Examples, 1. Getting Started has the datasets and a description document for both a. EC &  b. AASHTO modeling, analysis and design of a small bridge structure. It can be accessed at File\Examples\Training Examples by selecting 01.a or 01.b Getting Started as shown below.

      

    Either only the Modeler part or the complete project with Modeler and Analyzer datasets can be uploaded, as shown below. When we call it a basic beam design, it includes permanent and traffic loads, load combinations, fiber stress check and ultimate load check, as can be seen in the screenshot below.

      

    The following items are briefly described in this introduction:

    • Modeler:
    1. Axes geometrical definition of the road/rail axes.
    2. Cross-section geometrical definition.
    3. Segments for main girder.
    4. Structural System (bearings, stress flow, …).
    • Analyzer:
    1. • Importing material properties and variables.
    2. • Definition of material properties.
    3. • Definition of tendon geometry.
    4. • Definition of loading.
    5. • Definition of traffic.
    6. • Definition of one construction stage.
    7. • Fiber stress check.
    8. • Ultimate load check.
    9. • Starting the calculation.
    10. • Post processing.
