QUESTION:  How to apply Net Reduction Area factor for cross frames?

    ANSWER:

It is possible to reduce the area of Cross Frames.

Cross Frame definition dialog box has the “net area reduction factor” option for each CF member.

Net area reduction factor is used in the design only. If it is set in the CF def dialog box, as shown below:

Net area reduction factor will not affect in the analysis at all and that is how it has been implemented in Leap Bridge Steel. But the Cross-Frame member design will take this factor into account and will affect the Cross-Frame member design that one can get from below mentioned report.
