QUESTION: How to model concrete bridge in LARSBridge using Wizard?

    ANSWER:

    Steps to model Concrete Bridge:

    • Please click on Wizard Bridge option on the Commands Toolbar.
    • In the new window Welcome to LARSBridge select the Concrete Bridge option.
    • In the new window Wizard Concrete Bridge, we are selecting Standard Section Type as I-Girder and select AASHTO 4(60”) girder type and Concrete Strength as 6 ksi.
    • The bridge is a 2 Span bridge with 6 girders and total width being 44 ft.
    • All the information related to the bridge is inputted.
    • In the same Dialog Box user can input the reinforcement (Longitudinal & Stirrups) or Strand information.
    • Click on the Strand button then the user can input the Strand data, prestress loss, Type of Strand, and other information for one girder. The same information can be copied to all the other girders.
    • Once all the information is added click OK then the program will generate the complete 3D model of the bridge.
    • Then further Analysis and Rating can be performed.
