The Verification Example 8 Dynamic Analysis and Time History Calculation 1 has the objective to check the functionality of the dynamic features of Eigenmodes and Time History on a very simple 1 Degree Of freedom beam. The structural model for that purpose is of a cantilever beam, as shown in the picture below. Due to its simple characteristics, theoretically, the system for bending can be compared to the one mass with one spring simplified model.

   

Three analyses are performed; Elastic deflection, Frequency calculation, and Time History. As shown below, the results match with the theory:

• Bending displacement: Uy = 0.8333m
• First Natural Frequency: ω = 0.343 rad/s
• Maximal response: d = 831m
