    HL93 in LARS

LARS HL-93 vehicle information in the program is not detailed and does not differentiate between TRUCK+LANE, TANDEM+LANE, or 90% TRUCK PAIR + LANE (continuous structures only) in the output. Further, comparison of ratings performed for Structure #1 above in LARS with a separate file created in Virtis confirm that the 90% TRUCK PAIR + LANE vehicle has not been considered in LARS. This results in RF results in LARS being roughly 25% less than the Virtis results.

LARS reports each case in the flexural member reports.  The HS20, tandem and lane values are shown.  For continuous spans, LARS will also compute the 90% truck pair + lane case and display it as the “NEG” load.  In the tabular reports, LARS displays only the largest value for all of the valid cases at that checkpoint.
