For RM Bridge inside OpenBridge Designer, the Schedule Variants options for the Analyzer portion allows users to create different analysis variants definitions for the same structure. One project might require additional structural analyses but could use the same bridge model as a common one. The Schedule Variants allow for analyzing the same structure in several different ways, for example, in larger structures it can be useful to have a design process with:
- Preliminary final stage
- Linear construction stage analysis
- Non-linear final stage
- Erection control
Each of the Schedule Variants allows for different autonomous:
- Loads
- Actions
- Constraints
- Element properties
- Calculation settings
The Schedule Variants menu had three lists options:
- List of Activations for all stages
- List of Schedule Actions for all stages
- Table of Load Cases
Tips & tricks:
- The Active Schedule drop-down list is shown at the top of the Main input window, at the side of the Recalculate Analyzer button.
- Users need to Insert or Copy the basic existing variant into a new one and use the Activate button to set the required variant active.
- Plots are saved in each Schedule Variants folder, as they could be different for each recalculation run depending on the type of analysis.
- The automatic default variant is called DEFAULT, and Struct_Check can be used for self-weight and modal analysis coming from the Modeler.
- The Recalculate options are, in general, set for each individual Schedule Variants at the Recalc pad, and the Run Recalculation is only for the current Schedule Variant. On the opposite, the Recalculate All option at the Advanced Options will include Schedule Variants
