QUESTION: Does LBS perform a load rating on the cross-frames?
Answer:
ASHTO MBE 3rd Edition article 6A.6.9.7 states that Diaphragm and Cross frame members in
Horizontally curved bridges shall be considered to be primary members and should be load rated accordingly at the discretion of the owner.
Currently Leap Bridge Steel does not perform load rating on the cross-frames
