QUESTION: How to apply collision forces to the crashwall/footing?

ANSWER:

Please follow this procedure

 User should model the crash wall while modeling the bridge in ABC wizard.

• Then in the Loads TAB, please select the CT – Vehicular Collision Forces load case .
• Then click on EDIT button and in the new LOADS Dialog Box , click on the CRASH WALL Tab.
• Under Lateral Loads heading input the collision force value in X or Z direction.
• User needs to input the height, where the force needs to be applied (Y1/L = ratio where 0.5 is at the half height …).
• Then run the analysis and Design the Crash wall.
