QUESTION: How to change the Load factors for Service I and III in the Loads window?

ANSWER:

 Please follow this procedure to change the load factors of Service I and III in the Loads à Loads Factors window.

 

• User needs to click on the Loads Factors button and in the new window. The default load factor Value for Service I and III the Dead Load gamma DC, DW and Design Load Inventory gamma LL are 1.00
• To change the load factor value, click on the “Custom Settings” option on the Library Toolbar.
• In the new window Change the Load factors from 1 to 1.5 for Ƴdc , Ƴdw and ƳdII Service III Limit State – Inventory.
• User should make sure “Override Program settings “option is checked and then click Ok.
• Now click on Loads option and then click on Load Factors button and user should be able to see the change in the load factors from 1 to 1.5.
