Creating Drawing Views in AECOsim Building Designer

AECOsim Building Designer allows for an easier, more intuitive process of creating Drawing Views
when comparing it to V8i SS1 Building applications.    

1. First, open the Detailing Symbols
   toolbox from the Tools pulldown menu or Drawing Composition interface menu in
   AECOsim Building Designer.
2. To create a Drawing View Floor Plan, click on the Place Plan Callout tool in the Detailing Symbols
   toolbox, and create a section cut through the model in a Front View.
3. Enter a data point to define the starting point for the Plan callout.
4. Enter a data point to define the ending point for the Plan callout.
5. Enter a data point to define the depth of the callout’s clip volume.
   The Plan callout is placed.

Hover anywhere over
the Plan Callout symbol to get the “Create Drawing” marker to appear.  When you click on it, the Create Drawing
dialog will open and you can modify the settings in it to create a Drawing View,
along with a Drawing and/or Sheet model.
