Hello community,
Why when I'm using the OpenBuildings Software when I try to modify solids I always get the below response? I thought this software was supposed to make my life easier, not make me want to cry ha.
The Feature: "Difference #39" cannot be created with current settings and geometry.
Can someone please help me. What settings and geometry do I have to use / change to be able to use these features?

What is "OpenBuildings software"? Please follow community best practices and to specify your product and version exactly. Even when talking about OpenBuildings Designer, it's about quite many versions. Do you use the latest OBD CE Update 6?

What solids using what modification tools? Your question is far too fuzzy to be answered.
Recommended practices is to provide at least screen shot or better example DGN file.

I think the message is quite clear: What you want to do cannot be done (constructed).

It's about the current geometry of the modified solid. The modeling engine detected, that the modification cannot be applied, because e.g. output geometry cannot be constructed, calculated or in general is nonsense (e.g. thickness somewhere is 0 after the modification). Without knowing the source geometry, it's hard to guess more.
The information about settings relates to model working units and precision setting. For some operation, configured model precision is too low, or the element is too large to fit to the current modeling space. Again, without more information (master units + subunits + advanced settings like precision etc.) not too much more can be done.

As Jan outlined above, there is not nearly enough detail to provide a viable answer. The type of solid, the feature you're attempting to add, and its orientation in relation to that solid all contribute to the end result. Or lack thereof in this case. Screen captures and/or an example DGN file are needed.
