Can you confirm which specific tool you used and from where? While it may not make a difference it would be best to know where you've started.

FWIW, after you've applied the section clip the extents of the clip volume could be coming into play, and you can also check that view window's View Attributes to see whether there are any drawing rules or other settings that may be a factor.

I used it from the view tool box- section clip tool. But there seems to be no problem with display if i use clip volume by 2 points. checked view attributes for both and it remains the same.

The Fitted Section tool? 

If you click on the clip element/frame to select it, does the clip volume display?    If so, try dragging the blue edit handles around the outside to expand the extents and/or the green center arrow upward to change the cut plane location. 

 

Also, in general, I would recommend using the Callout tools instead.   This provides more control and also places a more obvious symbol in the model to denote where the Dynamic View is located in 3D space.
