Hi!
In our Office we have installed the AECOsim SS5 (english) + Dataset_NM.In the first steps of learning AECOsim, we created concrete columns, and automatically the new columns was placed in the level "S-COLS-CONC".Well, now we are working in a new project, and we create some new levels. Now we would like to associate those new levels to some AECOsim tools. For example, we created the level "LV_CO", and we would like to associate the tool "Place concrete column" to this level, to avoid to select the level "LV_CO" every time that we want to create a concrete column. I upload a video to explain it.How to do it?
Thanks a lot!

Hello Xavier,
This all is defined in an xml file. The file in question is called Structural_parts.xml and can be found under \WorkSpace\BuildingDatasets\Dataset_NM\part\
Before changing anything I would recommend to create a copy of the original file, so in case of any error you can restore it.

Hi Nasir, First of all, thanks to answer! it's interesting... this xml is in the "standard" dataset. In our office we have three datasets: standard, company and project. How to do it in company dataset only? and how to do it in project dataset only? Thanks a lot! Xavier C.A. EiPM
Hi Xavier,
The level is applied to the concrete columns by the part.
Dataset Explorer is the tool to use when seeking to modify the levels automatically applied to parts.
If your Company and Project datasets are correctly set up when you open Dataset Explorer you should see the Company and Project xml files listed as shown in this blog post: Configuring AECOsim Building Designer #3 – Put a Company Dataset on the network
Copy the part that you need to change to the Company or project dataset as appropriate, then change the level or any other aspect of the symbology. Keep the part name the same as the original and you will not need to make any DataGroup changes, the custom part will be read in place of the default.
If you wish to create custom parts with Company/Project specific names, you will then need to make changes in the DataGroup to associate them with the DataGroup driven tools.
Regards
Marc
