RVT Models in Microstation

I am finding that many of my vendors no only provide rvt models and not rfa models for their cells.

How can I use these?

  • Uhmm not really, I work with multiple software like ArchiCAD, Allplan, AutoCAD Architecture, AECOsim, Revit, AutoCAD and MicroStation. What I don't understand is people saying things about another software which are not correct, they either don't know the software or might have heard something from someone that it can't do this or that, and that, in my eyes is not right.-date comparison sheet available for MS and ACAD.

Regarding your links...that is why Autodesk introduced suites, all products in suites have an add-on for interoperability with the delivered software in the suite.

Of course everyone likes a particular software and doesn't look at other software BUT if you want to compare software to another one please know what the other software can do. I have noticed that most of the Bentley users think they know Autodesk software and start saying things which make me go "do you really know what you are saying". Once I saw a comparison sheet of MicroStation SS2 and AutoCAD, the comparison was with AutoCAD 2002....straight away I thought no wonder people think that ACAD can't do something. There is right now no up-to-date comparison sheet available for MS and ACAD.

Maybe we should stop comparing AECOsim to Revit, it's like comparing peanuts with apples but compare it to AutoCAD Architecture which is the actual equivalent to AECOsim. Both software are CAD based.
