Hej Guys,
I am trying to figure out how much I can do with PCS....
and just started to learn it. after some youtube video. I started my own.
and got stuck alreday on the 3rd step of my design.
I am planning to make a steel plate with some bolt holes. my thought is Create the plate. Create bolts. place them with C/C distance.
I did what tutorial videos, draw path, set the path as the reference. and i want to place either a circle or a point for the bolt holes.
but the center of circle or the point seems to be constrained with only one reference. please look at the picture.
I can create a distance from the center to the edge of reference along Y axie... but after that, I cant make the same thing alont x axie.... which means the point/ circle wont be adjusted after different input....
can anyone give me some guide on this. thanks??
I am assuming you want the circle to be constrained to the center point of the rectangle. If this is the case, I would create 2D construction lines along the x and y axis of the rectangle (snapped to the mid points of the rectangles edges). You can then constrain the circle's origin to the intersection of the 2 construction lines.

Mark's suggestion is very similar to what I've done in the attached (very simple) example - I drew two construction lines, assigned variables to them, then snapped the circle to their intersection. I then hid the constructions.

Vijia,
Is this what you wanted do? Dimensioning from two edges to center of circle can be done without guides.
