I am using ABD SS6 with PW Managed Workspace.
We have a dataset for our company things (Dataset_BURKEN) in the "DatasetExtensions" folder and mostly use only its content: levels, parts, cells, catalogs and catalog items, etc. We wanted it to be totally separate from the regional dataset we use.
My problem is that SS6's dataset filter sees only the regional dataset as "Company" which is not good, because when I create a new item, I can only choose target XMLs from the regional dataset. As I know the BB_COMPANY_DATASET_FILTER variable handles this. I changed it to Dataset_BURKEN, and later also set it to see both datasets, but ABD still only reads the regional.
For placing items from the catalogs, everything works well.
Currnetly only I have SS6, everybody else use SS5. The workspace was set up with SS5 a year ago and we haven't done the SS6 integration yet. Can it be the cause?

ABD SS6 - Adding Company Dataset Folders contains advice about setting up separate company dataset folders for non-ProjectWise installations. Unfortunately I have not tested this in ProjectWise myself so can't offer immediate guidance on implementing this in a ProjectWise environment, but hopefully this suggests a start point.
