Hej Guys,
I am working on some sheetpiles for harbour projects.
I can make sheetpile profiles into two different types in AECOsim SS6, paz file from PCS or the new place profile function. my feeling about two types are:
paz files are good because it contains a 2d plan symbol for saving times in the future, but to draw a sheetpile profile as attached pic, it take quite long time......
place profile function can easily convert exisisting 2d cell to 3d bim object. but gets crazy when I need to make 2d plan drawing from it......
But anyway, both methods work quite well for a single piece of sheetpile. but for a harbour area, I need normally over 1000 pieces of piles. that is kind of reaching the full capacity of the program.... the file gets to around 200mb and very slow to workwith.
so is there a simplfied way to do the job. I would like to make the 3D part of the object just as some normal shapes (standing vertically) and plan symbol as the real 2d profile section. so far I can only use PCS to create regions for the shape, and draw 2d plan in it as well. but as I mentioned it costs too much to draw the 2d plan symbol in PCS... all I need is a pramatric compount cell...
I am thinking about DDD solution, but will DD cells work with datagroup explorer or if there is a better way to do that???
thanks
