Hi all,
I'm using ABD Ss5 (bim081109750es) and I'd like to have labels on my structural elements by default as shown in the image:
But when I use my Dataset_ES the labels are not shown. Can anybody tell me how to make labels appear by default?
Thank you.
Sergi
Hi Sergi,
The structural labels in the model can be activated using the tool "Model Annotation" on the "Building Designer" menu.
All the screenshots I have added are done with the spanish version you are using:
Using this tool, you need to assign the kind of labels you want to use to an specific set of elements or to eveything:
Steps to follow inside this dialog:
1 - Select the existing line saying "No labels"
2 - Select the label style to assign ("Section name") and press "Update" button
3 - Select "Apply All" button to apply all your changes to the model
4 - The labels must appear into your model.
Hope it works for you.
Regards,
Eduardo

One other tip,
You can utilize the Append and Update tools in the model annotation to add annotation for specific family & parts and use the All-No Labels rule to leave out some components. For example you might not want to see labels for Steel/Handrail_Post, SteelAssemblies/BarJoist_Members, etc.
So the annotation rules would look something like this:
Mis imágenes son en la versión Inglés.
Note I had to take two screenshots as I have 7 rules.
You might approach it vice-versa and list the ones you do not want to display the label for and have the All rule apply The Section Name style to everything else. Like this:
These are processed in order, like the structural drawing rules, so the "All" rule goes last in the list - you can use the Up and Down buttons to arrange the order.
