how to change the properties of 2D plan detail of stair

Hi everyone. This is my first time to fill in my question here. I am very grateful if someone can help me solving this question. Now here it is: 
 I used the AECOsimBD ss5 with 747 version and put stairs in my model. When I cut the stair with Clip Volumn, it would become a 2D plan detail. But I cannot find the way to change the properties of the detail, like the level, colour, line style and so on. 
 So the question is how to change the properties(like level, color, linestyle) of the plan detail of stairs

Hello Wu Xueben, 
 The Family & Part assignment controls the symbology of the various components. the F&P is assigned to the DataGroup Catalog items. 
 I'm going to use Concrete Stair | Monolothic as my example. 
 When you select the type of stair in the Stair Placement Settings you are setting the Catalog Item. You can see what Family & Part is a assigned by looking at the DataGroup Catalog Editor. One way to access the DataGroup Catalog Editor is through the Stair Property tool. Once you have a catalog item selected in the Catalog Editor you can see what Family & Part is assigned. 
 To change the Family & Part symbology settings go to the DataGroup Explorer (accessed from the Buildigng Primary Tool Bar). The DataGroup Explorer has different Parts Views (accessed from the Parts View drop down menu). 
 There are Parts View for Definition, Drawing Symbology, Cut Patterns, etc. The Definition is what level, color, style, weight the component looks like in the model, the Drawing Symbology is what level, color, style, weight the component will have in the drawings. 
 I would highly recommend making edits to the project .xml files.

 See if the workflow shown in the attached video might help. It's a fairly straightforward process and would allow you to easily create an alternate 2D plan symbol that can even be reused within the Drawing Model if needed.
