What is the best way to create 2D drawings in AECOSIM ss6 (with member labels and gridline)

The recommended workflow for most cases would be Drawing Composition; i.e., Drawing Views. Drawing (Extraction) Manager is a much older technology that while viable, is a much different process and not real-time in any fashion. Plus there haven't been any development changes or enhancements for a few years now since DVs are our direction forward.

I would first focus on the stumbling blocks you're finding in the DV workflow and go from there. Can you elaborate on those specific aspects? I think you'll find most users have been and are still doing the things you've described so there must be something more to it.

1. Design Model -
   1. 3d models referenced into one master model -
   2. create Drawing Composition (which are smart saved views)
2. Drawing Model -
   1. refreence Design Model Saved View -
   2. Edit Model Name -
   3. Annotate the drawing -
   4. Create a Saved view for next step  $ sv=$(basename(_DGNFILE)  
      1. This creates a saved view where your model name is then saved to be used as your title name.
3. Sheets -
   1. Ref your Drawing Models and place titles -
   2. add schedules 
   3. etc

I found now the problem why whenever i try to manipulate in the model the drawing in the sheet doesn't update. because I'm using not correct seedfile, I must choose elevation_view-seed for detail puposes instead of other seed.
