Printing a 3d dgn file to 3D PDF in Aecosim

The clipping must be saved to the file using Save Settings. If the Display attribute Clip boundaries is not saved to the file, the clipping will not be recognized when exporting the PDF.

Thanks very much for the response. So is it only possible to include a single clip volume in a 3D PDF or is it possible to have multiple?

Nick, do you want to see the Clip Volume applied to the model; e.g., geometry cut and resymbolized, or do you actually want to see the Clip Volume element(s) itself? The reason I ask is that in ABD (as in MicroStation) you can only have one Clip Volume active in a given view window.

Hi Steve. We are using dynamic section and plans and have several saved views with clip volumes applied to them. When I print the dgn to 3D PDF, the saved views are exported (camera position) but not the section/plan cuts. By the sounds of it, it is not possible to have more than one clip volume when printing to a 3D PDF.

No, only one clip volume is supported.
