Navigator AecoSIM - different models showing

Hi,

I am opening files from ProjectWise select series 4 - .590. When I open a composite model in AECOSIM SS6 I can see all of the referenced models and the model looks fine. When I open exactly the same file in Navigator SS6 some of the files are missing and do not load. When I create an I-model from AECOsim and open this in Navigator the same models also do not load.

Does anyone know what might be causing this problem. All the files are stored in ProjectWise and the file opens fine in AECOsim, why are the same models not shown in Navigator. The models are still shown to be referenced in Navigator but do not appear in the view?

    Hi Michael,
    Does this behavior persist if the files are opened in Navigator outside of PW? If not, then the missing references could be a result of settings within PW itself. Is Navigator running in a managed workspace similar to ABD? If so, can you compare MS_RFDIR, MS_REF_DEFAULTATTACHDIRECTORY and MS_DISALLOWFULLREFPATH between the two?

    But if the behavior does persist, then it would seem to be some type of settings difference between ABD and Navigator. I would still review the above variables in that case just as a starting point.

    Also.... for these DGNs or i-Models are you looking at Dynamic Views or 3D Models? This is also a potential factor in what will and will not display. If they are DVs, try caching one first to see if that changes the result in Navigator.

    Lastly, is this the same issue that you had logged previously as SR# 7000517516? If so, I will go ahead and take that SR since we're already discussing it here. :)

    Hi Steve, the problem persists outside of PW unfortunately. We will review the attributes above and get back to you. Dynamic views are referenced into the model but it is the 3D geometry that was not showing. Yes, this is the same issue as SR# 7000517516 - happy for this to be closed however I will upload the I-model now to the share site that has been sent through as part of that request. THanks

    Thanks, Michael. I see one of our Building support analysts has picked up your SR so the issue can proceed from there.

    If the 3D geometry is part of those DVs and is what's missing in Navigator, I would still try caching the Drawing to see if that works. If so, it might help lead things in the right direction.
