Particular members not changing line weight via level manager

Question

HI, 
 I've just started using 3D modeling on AECOsim and using the "clip volume" tool to produce elevations and section. 
 While most of the level colour and weight can be changed via the level manager but some members don't as show on the picture below: 
 I can changes its line weight to the orange beam in the picture above in the cut back zone but where it has been cut the member line weight has not be changed, 
 similar in the C purlins above. 
 I have a few questions: 
 Is this a default setting in the programme when some members are to keep there line weight when they are cut through? and can I change this setting? and if so can someone advice me on how to?

I had a deeper look into the dataset explorer and found in parts view>drawing symbology that the section weight to the parts as set to line weight 2 and not to by level. By changing the section line weight to by level in the dataset explorer has solved the issue i had.

Difference between MicroStation and AECOsim is that AECOsim supports Family and Parts. The control of line weights and line colour, for Building specific objects, is controlled in the Dataset Explorer which can be accessed by going to Building Designer -> Family & Parts -> Single Parts

If you create your clip volume using the Place Fitted Section, or (preferably) using the Callout tools, the Drawing Seed that you choose in the Tool Settings dialog will apply default view/presentation settings. use of these is one of the topic covered in the product help under "Building Dynamic Views".
