Place Section Callout menu not showing!

I'm not aware of a setting that disables the Mini Toolbar, it is a fundamental part of the Callout based workflow.

Please attempt this:

BENTLEY AECOsim Building Designer – (OBJECTS WILL NOT PLACE)

When this program won’t place any element or object, please go to your control panel of your computer.
Select the program in the add/remove portion of the control panel, in this case AECOsim Building designer.
Then right mouse click on that program, you will see three options appear, change, repair& remove.
Select the REPAIR option, this will correct any corrupt files in the program, once this is done, close control panel.
Restrart your AECOsim Building Designer, and then try and place the item again.

I manage to fix this issue by going into the Workspace->Preferences (Building Designer Preferences dialog) and defaulting all Category.
