I am having trouble with auto-generated section elevation labels in a drawing view through one of the buildings in our site model.
I have an overall site model, with circa 20 zones/buildings set up in floor manager. Each zone has its own DGN file, and there is a top-level federated DGN. I have created a dynamic drawing view in one of the sub-models, by using the "Drawing Composition > Place Section Callout" tool. I allowed ABD to generate the drawing model in new DGN, but unticked the option to also create a sheet model.
The drawing model has the elevation levels from floor manager appear automatically, however, it has brought through all the levels for all the zones across site, whereas I would expect only to see the levels from the zone/DGN from which I've generated the initial section.
I cannot seem to find settings to control this anywhere, or anything much useful in the help files or on the web.
The closest thing I can find which looks like it might have some scope is the FloorMaster.dgnlib. When I open that, the individual planes do appear to have a "Group" property which has the relevant building name. I wonder if this can be used somehow to filter only the annotations/labels required in the auto-generated section view?
Regards
Marc
Hello
Has this been resolved?
I am having the exact same issue. This tool is impractical unless the building can be selected for a particular drawing.
Thanks
Nico
Hi Nico,
Based on the defect that Marc mentioned, no, this has not yet been resolved. However, it looks like it should be available in the next CONNECT release, Update 4, due out in early August.
