I'm getting the following error message every time I open AECOsim SS6 in Archtectural mode
"Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-time error "453":
Can't find DLL entry point GetLocaleInfoA in kernel32"
Does anyone know what this means, and how to fix it ?
Regards
Michael.

I have all the latest Windows updates installed.
This error only comes up in Architectural mode. It doesn't show up when I use AECOsim in Microstation mode.
When I select the "debug" button this pops up and AECOsim crashes
I have also included the exception log file, if that helps
Michael.2804.Exception.log
I've installed the CONNECT version of AECOsim, and am having problems running it in Microstation mode.
Using this shortcut works fine. It takes about 6 seconds to open
"C:\AECOsim CE\AECOsimBuildingDesigner\AECOsimBuildingDesigner.exe"
But using this shortcut, I'm having problems getting AECOsim to start. It takes about 23 seconds to open
"C:\AECOsim CE\AECOsimBuildingDesigner\AECOsimBuildingDesigner.exe" -wsBB_DISCIPLINE=MicroStation -wudefault
I also get this time difference when I select "File". AECOsim in BD mode opens straight away, but in Microstation mode, it takes up to 25 seconds to open.
I expect this to be reversed due to the Data loaded in BD mode.
Is there a setting I'm missing for running in Microstation mode ?
regards
As a test.
I tried Microstation CONNECT, and it started straight away. Selecting "File" also had no lag.
Try removing the -wudefault from the end of the MicroStation Mode shortcut - does that make any difference?

It's been a while, but I managed to do a clean install (new computer) and I'm still getting the error when opening AECOsim.
It also pops up every time I change drawings.
I'm using AECOsim SS6 8.11.9.866.
MickyKom,
Would you please check this Microsoft article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/install/dotnet-35-windows-10 and see if it sheds any light on your error?
Thanks,
